Parishes of Edsberg and Mosjö-Täby are looking for a 100% cantor

Edsberg Parish is a rural parish, while Mosjö-Täby Parish consists of residential areas, countryside, and shopping centers.

The parishes are located in Örebro Pastorate. We are a team of 10 people in these two parishes. We have a lot of collaboration within the pastorate, the work team, and with volunteers and parishioners. We often work on projects where music is an important part.

The position involves leading the music life in the two parishes together with the other musician and building the parish together with other staff and parishioners. This means that as a cantor, you have a broader perspective than just music. In a small context, a lot of initiative, drive, and ideas from all staff are needed for the activities and parish life to develop and find their forms.

The position also consists of regular cantor duties such as:

• Worship services every other weekend and the major holidays of the church year
• Weekly mass
• Baptisms, funerals, and weddings
• Adult choir
• Children's choir

To thrive in this position, you need to be self-driven, collaborative, able to lead and develop activities independently but also in cooperation with others.

You are part of a larger context. The Church of Sweden Örebro Pastorate consists of eight parishes with a rich and varied parish life. We have a shared office and cemetery administration. Additionally, there is the Solliden conference center and individual and family counseling. We are a force that people count on, a strong and sought-after community actor in Örebro and Lekeberg.
